Nestled in the heart of Jodhpur Park, Kolkata, Hanglaatherium began its journey twelve years ago as a restaurant and a dream woven by three families. Their shared passion for creating food that warms the heart and delights the senses was the cornerstone of this culinary venture. 

What started as a small eatery has now blossomed into one of the best family restaurants in Kolkata, celebrated for its distinctive flavours and homely ambience.

At a time when larger players dominated the biryani landscape, Hanglaatherium introduced its signature biryani, a dish that soon became a citywide sensation. The secret lies in the choice of aromatic spices and premium ingredients and the love and care infused in every preparation. 

Today, Hanglaatherium is more than one of Kolkata’s famous biryani restaurants; it’s a treasure trove of culinary delights. 

Our ‘Mutton Hanglaabari,’ a dish steeped in traditional flavours, offers a taste of nostalgia, reminiscent of the city’s rich culinary heritage. 

‘Dilli6,’ is a tribute to the North Indian flavours, brings a burst of authentic spices and textures, appealing to those seeking the zest of Delhi streets.

Visited this place finally after watching some recommended videos on YouTube regarding this restaurant. We had ordered Chicken biriyani and Chicken tikka biriyani which were pretty good in taste. The biriyani was light yet flavourful. The staffs are courteous and the owner Mr. Sunando Banerjee was kind enough to care about their guests. The ambience is pretty casual with a dash of quirky doodles on the wall. Good place to visit if you're a biriyani buff like me!

I was planning to visit this place for a long time, finally got the chance. Well, the experience was great. The taste and quality of the food was absolutely amazing. Even the quantity of the rice in the combo was sufficient,on the contrary,the quantity of the sides was a bit less. But overall it was a splendid experience.
